Western Carolina track & field student-athletes Tayla Carter and Chenell Bryan were named the Southern Conference Track and Field Athletes of the Month, respectively. Carter earns her second track athlete of the month distinction after earning January's track athlete of the month recognition in 2013. This marks the first time Bryan has been named the field athlete of the month and it is also the first time since the SoCon began giving out athlete of the month awards in 2008 that two athletes from the same institution won the track and field awards.
