The Western Carolina men's and women's cross country teams both took second at the College of Charleston Classic Friday evening. The event was moved to Winthrop University after weather made two separate courses in the Charleston area unusable. Men's freshman runner Liam Brooks took the overall spot in the 8K race as he bested all his competition by completed the course in 25:54.5. On the women's side it was freshman Kaitlyn Lingard leading the way as she finished second overall with a time of 18:41.7 on the 5K course.
